DUBAI: Today is March 25, a historic day for the Pakistani nation, who on this day in 1992 had won the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup under the captaincy of Imran Khan, who is now the prime minister of the country. The International Cricket Council (ICC) has remembered this historic day through a tweet, which said: “On This Day in 1992, the Imran Khan-led Pakistan were crowned ICC Men's Cricket World Cup champions for the first time after beating England in the final in Melbourne by 22 runs. Will they take the #CWC19 :trophy: home this year?"That was the only World Cup title Pakistan won in the history of the mega event of the One-day International cricket. Imran Khan, who had led that victorious team 37 years ago in 1992, is now leading the country as its prime minister and in his regime, the national team under the captaincy of Sarfraz Ahmed will be going to participate in the 12th edition of the World Cup, which will be held in England in May-July.
